LVReports Overview
LaserVault Reports (LVReports) is a secure server application for archiving and indexing all of your computer-generated reports, including PDF output, giving you instant access to your reports. It includes a browser-based interface for retrieving, printing, faxing, and emailing entire reports or selected pages of your reports.

LVReports seamlessly integrates with numerous software applications hosted on IBM Mainframe, IBM Power System (IBM i, iSeries, AS/400), Unix, or any other host system. Functionality includes:

With LVReports, you can instantly access your computer-generated reports from your PC, a ‘green screen’ terminal, or via the web. You can also make notations and attach any PC file to report pages.

Create Extraction Templates to tell NeXtract exactly what information to extract from a report. Selecting information to extract is as simple as highlighting a field and clicking a button. Templates can be saved and reused.
Print Preview
Use the Print Preview options to format your extracted data for printing. You can define the printer orientation, margins, font, and font size.

There is a five-megabyte library of commands that can be used to send reports to LVReports and to automate the LVReports indexing process. You can expand this library with custom-developed commands. Using FTP, you can automate functions even from a mainframe since there is an FTP server built into the LVReports system itself.
We use only outgoing ports, so there is no need to open up the server on your IBM i or AS/400. Using the FTP client rather than the FTP server helps ensure the security of your host system.
You bet. LVReports has a neat capability to print back to the 400, so you can continue to use any 400-based fax-out software or forms software. Just print back to the AS/400 and use the device software of your choice. You can also print to any local or network printer.
