LaserVault DMS Indexing

When you define the folder structure in LaserVault DMS, the columns you define are each an index key. Using LaserVault DMS, you can search by several different data fields at once using Boolean searches.

Searching within a folder lets you search using up to five fields that have been defined in the folder you have selected. You can save your search settings, so that the same search will load when you select that particular folder.

The LaserVault DMS Main Screen displays the results of your search. Each result is a record that goes horizontally across the screen. The records are divided vertically into fields. Each record contains a document of one or more pages that were either scanned or added as files.

Global Search lets you search by a common field that is defined in multiple folders. For example, searching by invoice number equal to 451769 will show us records in any of the folders based on that key value. It's a great way to link your folders together in one search.
