LaserVault Application Link
LaserVault Application Link works along with your terminal emulation software to link your iSeries applications to scan and display related documents using a simple configuration process.
Automatically populate imaging databases. You can use LaserVault App Link to capture indexing information from the application screen to use with a scanned image. The App link operation uses the information from the application screen to create the field values for the imaging record. Creating indexes through application linking saves time and prevents errors. Documents can be assembled into a batch and scanned all at once. You can also print field names and values so that it will be obvious if the cover page is applied to the wrong image.
Easy to configure. You can configure LaserVault App Link to read your terminal emulation screen and activate one or more function keys to perform the linking operation. The same screen can have more than one function key defined. Each key consists of a keystroke, the information scraped from the application screen, and the action it performs. Fields can be read from the emulation screen at an absolute or relative position, and we can also create static or literal fields if needed in the lookup process.
Batch print to PDF with LaserVault Link
You can lookup a set of invoices or statements from our iSeries application screen, and batch print them to a PDF for emailing. LaserVault Link sends the parameters to LaserVault Reports, which perfoms the batch print function and returns a PDF of the results. Your documents, complete with forms overlay, are assembled into a single PDF which you can email to the customer. In just a few seconds you can complete an operation that used to involve searching through file cabinets, a trip to the copier, and folding and mailing.
