LaserVault Reports

LaserVault Reports and LaserVault Imaging combine the capacity and power of Windows-based servers with hotkey access from your workstation-based applications. Your users can instantly retrieve invoices, statements, reports, or any document image with a single keystroke from their existing application software, without reprogramming.

LaserVault Reports stores any sort of iSeries report, including PDFs, and can build up to 9 index keys per report for sub-second access to one page out of millions. You can generate form overlays, including multiple font changes, bar codes, and different overlays on different pages of the same report. You can retrieve reports from a workstation, Windows, or across the web with full security. Pages can be reprinted, or converted to PDF on the fly and emailed to respond to customer requests immediately, without a return phone call.

LaserVault Imaging

LaserVault Imaging creates a custom folder database for your documents, so you can search by several criteria at once. You can store images, office documents, and any sort of digital file. New images or files can be added over the web, even by faxing in documents. For example, a remote user can go to a web page, add the document identification information such as invoice number, date, and amount, and then print a cover page with a bar code. Then the user can scan the document in, or even fax it in, and the cover page sorts the document into the correct folder. You can also pull information from your iSeries files (such as vendor name) to integrate with the document folder information for searching.

Unlike iSeries-hosted solutions, LaserVault Reports and LaserVault Imaging use low-cost PC-based storage. In combination with PC-based compression, this can save 93% of the cost of storing the same information on the iSeries - and reduce the need to upgrade to a larger iSeries host. You can also take advantage of low-cost removable PC hard drives to keep multiple copies of your archive in safe locations.
